Get off my Land recreation

This project is we have got to recreate a film called "Get Off My Land" this film is about a young couple out on a walk and they go into a private field that is owned by a farmer. He sees that the couple are in his field and the farmer stops them and askes them to leave. The male askes the farmer where he got his field is from and the farmer tells him that it has been in his family for generations and then the male askes the farmer to fight for the field. Then the farmer goes to his car and grabs the shotgun and shoots the male. The female breaks down and the farmer shoots her as well.

Practical Task 1

Todorov's Narrative Theory 

Equilibrium - The 5 students are in a class room studying. One needs the toilet. We got the main character to put his hand up to show the fact that he needed to go to the toilet. We got other characters to act normal to make it look like real life.

Disruption - Someone locks the door. We then got somebody to grab a house key and then hold it against the lock to make it look as if they have locked the door. We then took an up high photo to show the effect we wanted. 

Recognition - He tries to open the door. We pretended to open the door because the key we had. Would not be able to lock the door so we had to make it look like the door was locked.

Repair - He kicks the door but does not open. We could not kick the door because that would be criminal damage so we got him to put his foot on the door to make it look as if he is kicking it. So them he jumps out the window. This effect is given because we tell our main character to climb up onto the window sill and then put a foot out of the window.

New Equilibrium - He then goes to the toilet after jumping out the window. Then we cut to him pretending

Beginning: This is the start of the film where the equilibrium is and then getting towards the disruption 

Middle: This is where something happens that disrupts the equilibrium and then the recognition is after this where the characters realise what has happened. Then the repair this is also in the middle where the characters try to fix the problem that has happened and try to restore it back to the equilibrium.

End: This is were the new equilibrium is and this is back to normal life. But there is always in their mind that something has happened.  

My film of choice: Top Gun

Start:
- Maverick is a dangerous pilot
- He is a carrier fighter plane


Middle:
- Maverick goes to Top Gun
- He meets Iceman and they have a rivalry
- He Crashes his plane
- Goose dies

End:
- Maverick is still dangerous
- Iceman and Maverick are now mates
- Carrier fighter plane still
