(post 3) Why are these short films?

(Post 3) Why are these short films?

What is the point of them?

A short film is any motion picture not long enough to running time to be original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less including all credits. Short films are generally used for industry experience and as a platform to showcase talent to secure funding for future projects from private investors or film studios.

Who makes them?

Short films can be made by anyone most big film makers started off by making short films for example Steven Spielberg started off by making short films before he went onto his famous films like E.T and Jurassic park. Also film makers like Martin Scorsese and James Cameron.

How and where are they exhibited?

Most short films are shown on YouTube, Vimeo, Netflix, Film 4 shorts and film festivals this is where they are shown off to the public and maybe young film makers who want to maybe create their own films

 Who watches short films?

Short films can be watched by anyone because they are free to watch on YouTube. They could also be watched by young film makers who maybe want ideas for their next short film. Also maybe big famous film creators may watch them to help maybe find someone to help on their sets.
