IN THE BACKGROUND THE FAINT SOUND OF THE A11 AND SIRENS (AND HIGH PITCH MUSIC)

GIRL IS SAT IN ROOM WITH HAND CUFFS ON AND INTERROGATOR WALKS IN AND SLAMS NOTE BOOK DOWN ON THE TABLE AND THE GIRL JOLTS IN SURPRISE

THIS MEETING IS BEING RECORDED FOR COURT PERPOSES ANYTHING YOU SAY CAN BE USED IN COURT SHALL WE PROCEED

(Post 10) Final Casting

 For my short film I need 4 characters:

- Boyfriend (Aged 17 or 18)

- Girlfriend (Aged 17 or 18)

- Police Officer (Any Officer)

- Interrogator (Mr Rowe)

For the role of the boyfriend I want to have a boy who is about 17 or 18 and I also want the girlfriend to be the same age 17 or 18. The interrogator I want it be an adult between 30 - 50. The police officer I want can be of gender and under the age of 50.

(Post 14) Editing Techniques

 For my short film I don’t want to use many editing  techniques because it’s all going to be on scene and angle but there will be a couple of fade cuts in and out of the flashbacks that the girl is going to have throughout. The only camera angle that I will use is going to be over the shoulder of the interrogator and a couple of other shots in the flashbacks

(Post 12) Final Props

 In the opening scene I only want a couple of props to be used and I want more to be introduced as the film progresses 

Opening Scene 

I want a police car and handcuffs in this scene when the girl is getting arrested and put in the car 

In the interrogation 

Throughout my film I’m gonna flash between the interrogation room and the girls flashbacks

When in the interrogation I want to use a number of props I want handcuffs to be used in this scene again because the girl is going to be handcuffed. I also want there to be paper that the interrogator to be writing notes on and this will also include a pen that he’ll be writing notes with. I want there to also be cups of water on the table in clear plastic cups.

(Post 11) Costume and Make-up

 The costumes and make up in my short film are going to be very naturalistic and of the norm.

Costumes 

- Police Officer - I want my police officer to to wearing his/her police uniform to give my film a naturalistic look

- Interrogator - I want my interrogator to wear jeans, shirt, tie and blazer but the blazer will be removed early on in the film so the main costume for my Interrogator will be the jeans, shirt and tie

- Girlfriend - I want the girl to wear normal everyday clothes I don’t want anything too flashy but I don’t want anything to bland 

- Boyfriend - I want the boy in my film like the girl to wear normal every day clothes yet again nothing too flashy but noting too bland

Make-up 

- Girlfriend - I want her to have a little bit of natural makeup on but.not to go over the top with it 

(Post 7) Audience Research

 For my film there is not a set age that I want my film to pop out to but if I had to choose one it would probably be people of my age 17,18 as the main characters are of that age and I would think that maybe some people could relate back to my film. Yet again like before the gender is no different to the age I’m not aiming at a specific gender but I want all of them to enjoy my film. 

(Post 9) Final Location

 For my final setting I am going to use 2 different settings my first one is the bridge over the A11 like talked about earlier on. 

 

My other location is going to be a classroom in school that I am going to look like an interrogation room because I think that this could look really realistic and make it look like an actual interrogation room.

Mise - en - Scene 

In this short film we see the main character in many different places some of the most notable are his house and the hospital. There are other settings in this short film like the shop, the office and the tree. The costume is very minimal in this short film with the normal cloths but with dog props and they work very effectively. The fact that he keeps a serious look about him is what makes it such a funny film.

Narrative 

This short film contains the preferred audience reading because the person who made this film wants the audience to enjoy the film and he wants them to find it funny. Also the audience sort of builds up a personal relationship with the main character.

Mise-en-scene 

Setting- For this I want to film in 3 different settings the first is going to be on the bridge in the photos above. The problem with this bridge is that it is over the A11 so it's gonna be very loud and it will be hard to block the sound of the cars going past under the bridge but I do want the cars in it so people can tell that it's above the A11. Also I want to film in a classroom for the flashback and also I want to use a room with a greenscreen to create the news room look and that scene.

(Post 4) Ideas for short film

Idea 1 

- It starts with the girl walking across the bridge to where she's gonna jump 

- We hear her thoughts and we hear what she's upset about

- Then she's says "I'm gonna jump" 

- The girl is about to jump from a bridge onto a motorway and kill herself

- Her boy friend who is biking past spots her and goes over to try and save her 

- He tries to talk her down

- Talks about their problems 

- Flashback to her watching her boy friend kiss another girl

- She changes her mood and then pushes him  

- After he talks her down she pushes him over the edge but we don't see that 

- (Fade to black) cuts to a news report and the news reporter talks about how a boy has died after falling from a bridge and they say that he was allegedly pushed from the bridge
